Calling all health enthusiasts and cyclists to join iControlMyHealth for a charitable cycling/biking event in Rockville to promote a healthy lifestyle and disease prevention. Route options include 10, 25, 63 and 100 miles to suit all types of riders. Nonprofit Montgomery Candidate Conversations

One key objective for our advocacy is to share the priorities of the nonprofit sector with our local government. In order to begin to foster a collaborative relationship with our County Council, we’ll be meeting in a small group setting with nonprofit leaders and County Council candidates to gain a better understanding of the needs of our sector.

Nonprofit Montgomery members are invited to participate in panels of nonprofit leaders to meet with candidates for Montgomery County Council. On selected days, 3-4 nonprofit leaders will meet as a group with 3-5 individual candidates.

MCPS and MCCPTA Mental Health and Wellness Forum

Department of Health and Human Services Community Budget Briefing

DHHS is holding a briefing to discuss the County Executive’s Fiscal Year 2019 recommended operating budget for its department. Director Uma S. Ahluwalia and Senior Leadership staff will brief residents and interested parties on the Department’s portion of the recommended budget. The briefing will be on Monday, March 19 at 6pm at 401 Hungerford Drive, 1A and 1B, Rockville, MD 20850.

BoardMatch Montgomery, a collaboration between Nonprofit Montgomery, Leadership Montgomery, and Capacity Partners, helps nonprofit organizations recruit effective and engaged board candidates to serve on their boards of directors.

This program is available to members of Nonprofit Montgomery. To be considered for the matching process, members must attend an orientation to the process held on April 12 from 8:30-11:30am at The Universities at Shady Grove. Please note, the matching process will also include one mandatory interview with the Executive Director/CEO and Board Chair/President.
