Recently, the County Council launched a revision to its website to allow users to access Council agendas and committee meetings in one place. The site also provides access to informational packets, links to live meetings, and archived videos of past meetings. Users can click Council Meeting Portal to get to the right place.
MCPS Superintendent Jack Smith will be presenting the Fiscal Year 2018 Operating Budget On December 13, 7:30pm at Gaithersburg High School. Free childcare (ages 4 and older) and interpretation services will be provided.
Rockville Library and GrantSpace will be hosting an event that will provide step-by-step instructions on creating a standard project budget for a foundation proposal. Discussion will include: income and expenses, estimating the cost of projects, and financial documents that may need to be submitted. It will be on December 14, 2-3pm.
FIRM Institute training includes three 2-hour follow-up tutorials that introduce tools to help with implementing a financial leadership and management workplan. Tutorials extend the learning and provide an opportunity to work on specific skills or issues that affect the financial management of your organization.

Grantspace (The Foundation Center) is hosting a special program “Breaking Organizational Silos” on December 13, 10-11:30am. Participants will learn ways to transform their organization or department from a silo-culture to an open and transparent culture, where collaboration is an acceptable part of its culture. Montgomery County Public Libraries in collaboration with the Office Of Human Resources will present two workshops on How to Apply for Jobs with Montgomery County Government on December 6. The workshops are free, but registration is required.
