Manna Food Center CEO and Nonprofit Montgomery Board Secreatary Jackie DeCarlo was featured in Bethesda Magazine’s “Feeding Our Neighbors.”
Tech Impact, a 501(c)(3) provider of nonprofit technology solutions and the operator of IT training programs for underserved youth will be merging with Idealware, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and authoritative source for independent, thoroughly-researched technology resources for the social sector. The merger will be effective on September 30.
Meredith Bowers is the new Program & Membership Director for Nonprofit Montgomery. She has experience in nonprofit administration and has served as the Executive Director of two nonprofits in Montgomery County: Jobs Unlimited, Inc. and Bethesda Metro Area Village. She also served in leadership roles at several others, including KID Museum and Montgomery Hospice. Previously, she taught legal research and writing, public interest lawyering and appellate advocacy to law students and creative writing and yoga to elementary school students.
Meredith holds a law degree from George Washington University and an undergraduate degree with honors from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Currently she volunteers with Girls on the Run Montgomery County, Montgomery Hospice, and is on the Board of Beth Chai Congregation. She can be reached at meredith@nonprofitmoco.org.

Court Watch Montgomery was recently featured in Bethesda magazine. Court Watch Montgomery sat in on more than 2,500 protective order hearings to develop a report that found significant differences in the way District Court judges handle hearings for domestic violence protection orders.

Lesley MacDonald has been named Executive Director of Nonprofit Montgomery. Lesley has very successfully served as the Nonprofit Montgomery Program and Membership Director since 2016, and filled the Interim Executive Director position for the last few months.
Lesley brings a rich background in nonprofit work having served as Director of Community Investment for the Community Foundation of Northern Virginia for almost 10 years where her work involved convening larger groups of stakeholders in the nonprofit community to develop a veterans’ support collaborative, directing grant programs for health and human services nonprofits, and working to identify and respond to community needs.
Prior to that, Lesley served as Vice President for Community Impact at the United Way of Greater New Haven. Lesley has a Masters of Social Work in Public Policy and Administration, as well.
