Accounting for Nonprofits Breakfast Seminar: July 17 at Nonprofit Montgomery (Leadership Hub)
Come and learn what you need to know about age discrimination, bullying and harassment in the workplace, federal legal updates and much more. This event is Presented by the Office of Human Rights- Montgomery County Human Rights Commission and Montgomery County Commission for Women. The workshop is on June 6, 9am – 2:30pm in Silver Spring.
What is a budget really meant to communicate? What can those financial reports really tell me about my work and/or the organization?
Do you want to better understand what all those rows and columns of numbers mean and how you can use them, then join us for this session. An organization’s budget tells a much bigger story than just money in and money out. Those reports about activities, cash flow, and balances open doors to important information about how an organization conducts its business.
This session provides clarity on how these financial tools and the processes associated with them can serve you, even if you don’t think you are a numbers person.

Takoma Park Folk Festival is on September 8 at the Takoma Park Middle School. This free festival is expected to have over 5,000 in attendance and will have a cross-section of the DC area community.
