Through strategic advocacy, capacity building programs, and meaningful collaboration, we help leaders build stronger, more resilient organizations. We champion increased investment in the sector and elevate the essential role nonprofits play, ensuring policymakers, businesses, and the public recognize and support the work that drives our community forward.
Our Story
Nonprofit Montgomery was born from a shared vision among community leaders who recognized the need for a more connected and collaborative nonprofit sector in Montgomery County. What began as a grassroots conversation over a decade ago evolved into a countywide effort, supported by leaders and partners working through The Community Foundation for Montgomery County to build a stronger, more inclusive network.
Over the years, Nonprofit Montgomery has grown from a program of the Nonprofit Roundtable into an independent, mission driven organization. After operating as a fiscally sponsored project of the Washington Regional Association of Grantmakers, it achieved 501(c)(3) status in 2019, marking an important milestone in its evolution.
Today, Nonprofit Montgomery is a trusted alliance of nonprofit organizations, serving as a central hub for connection, resources, and advocacy. It brings together diverse voices across the sector to strengthen collaboration, elevate impact, and ensure nonprofits have the support they need to serve the community effectively.
